Five Loves This April

The brief balmy days have frozen over, bringing winter back with sleet, hail and even snow making an appearance this month! I have to say, I adore the cosy, rainy days - especially for welcoming back comforts like hot drinks, lush baths and spiced porridge again, if only for a short while!
This month seems to have flown by, a mixture of long weekends and busy days speeding up time. Here's five things I've adored this month!

Slogan Tee's and Knits
In particular, this gorgeous, canary-with-a-hint-of-mustard yellow 'Sisterhood' slogan knit. It's cosy, ideal for the brisk spring weather and so flattering on. I never thought that I would brave yellow but this is so easy to wear - I'm glad to be finally embracing colours at long last!
Along with this dreamy knit, I've been coveting a few other pieces, this Topshop Love Affair tee has been open in my tabs all month, love these too...

Cactus Babies
If you follow me on Instagram/Instastories you will have probably seen a few snaps of my new plants. I picked up these cuties from Cactusland aka heaven - a plant lovers dream!
A huge greenhouse lined with rows of these babes, hundreds - thousands of flowering cacti, succulents in reds, purples or blue - It's well worth a trip!
Currently in bloom, their little flowers just keep on coming, I'm hoping this cold snap isn't too bad for them! I've been reading up on what they like - which soil, potash food and one good watering a week between the warmer months ... not quite as simple as I thought!
I'm also on the lookout for some cute pots. Here's to hoping that they survive!
More Doing, Less Procrastinating
I've spent a lot of downtime on self care over the past few years - long lush baths, netflix evenings whilst dithering between ideas, resting, healing and procrastinating here and there. I've felt really stuck - until quite recently. I'm ready to start doing again!
I'm trying to make the most of this productive streak and so new stationery is a must - right? I might treat myself to these gorgeous mermaid notebooks. Fingers crossed this productive spark lasts!

Home Updates
Specifically a living room revamp. I'm trying to add a touch of sophistication and streamline my living area, aiming for a non cluttered comfortable space. I'm thinking whispers of rose gold, greys and wood - this marble and copper lamp is ideal, I love this palm print cushion too. I'm also on the lookout for a plant stand, possibly something wood and white to fit in!

Muted Lips
The indecisive weather has left me reaching for soft, muted picks again. Smoky peaches, rosy browns and hints of muted pink. I've completely fallen for the Nyx Soft Matte Lip Creams again, they're some of the best that I've tried - creamy, comfortable and budge proof. Adding a slick of my Eos Strawberry Sorbet first tackles any dryness.
The Nars Lip Pencil in Walkyrie is another heavenly pick, it's saturated, matte and a pretty terracotta hue!
