Budget Beauty, New Additions

Lately, instead of opting for the occasional high-end splurge, I've been picking bit's up here and there from affordable brands instead. I've found a few new beauty gems - staples to add to my routine. I thought that I'd share a round up of my new budget finds - all of which are at under £10 each!

The Nyx Soft Matte Cream in Rome was love at first swatch - a gorgeous, creamy pink red brown it's such a flattering hue! I adore the formula of the NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams, as always it's pigmented, creamy and comfortable on the lips. Once dry it's budge-proof, lasting for hours! Rome pairs well with a candle-lit highlighter and winged liner, it's become one that I reach for daily!
Budapest is next on my to-buy list, another mauve pick, it looks divine!

After swatching a ton of brow pencils, I spotted the Nyx Professional Micro Brow Pencil in Ash Brown next to the Benefit Ka-Brow in 5. It's pretty much an exact dupe - at just a fraction of the price! I'm already smitten with this, it's a great match for my brow colour, looks natural, is easy to apply and lasts all day. The only downside - I think I'm working my way through this quite quickly, I still have a lot left, but I seem to use a lot more than I did my old Rimmel one.

Essie Clothing Optional* is a beautiful pick from the Wild Nudes collection, a dreamy mauve-brown that's ideal for the transition between seasons - and for this rainy weather we've been having! Such a complimentary hue, it's a new favourite in my collection.

The Tanya Burr My Paradise Palette is filled with summery rose gold hues. I can imagine these warm tones will look beautiful blended out all over the eye - as a no fuss, one wash wonder. I've hit pan on my previous everyday eyeshadow palette - the Birthday Suit Palette and so I can't wait to switch to this when the weather brightens up a little!

Lastly, I've been on the hunt for something to add a few bubbles and to use alongside a Lush Bath Bomb (for a luxurious treat!) and so I picked up the Zoella Beauty Soak Opera to test out. It comes in a huge bottle and contains softening vitamin e, aloe and shea butter, which is a real treat for the skin! The scent is gorgeous - albeit fairly subtle. Still, it works perfectly combined with a Lush Bath bomb!
