Home Snippets - Summer

muji drawers makeup
I thought I would share a few corners from my home, snippets of the places that are very nearly finished. I've tried not to fall for the seasonal trends this summer, instead looking at and investing in timeless, loved pieces that will work all year round. There's also an absence of peonies in this year's post - I treated myself to just one bunch this year, as I'm saving up all my spare pennies for the wedding!

My Muji drawers are topped with a few current faves - the Charlotte Tilbury Eyes to Mesmerise in Jean, my go-to cream eyeshadow for a quick, effortless champagne eye, The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 and Essie Sil Vous Play, a pretty pink-lavender metallic polish.

For the living room, I picked up this gorgeous dusky pink velvet floor cushion for a steal in the Urban Outfitters sale. I'm beyond obsessed with it, it's ideal for an extra seat, as a footstool, or even to pop magazines or knitting on for easy reach whilst on the sofa. I'm just missing a couple of planters for this room and then it should be finished - I love this gilded leaf plant pot, this West Elm Planter too! I've been enjoying the light summer evenings on the sofa with Gilmore Girls or a book in hand!

I've also switched up my workspace, splurging on my dream desk whilst it was in the sale. As my forever desk, I'm beyond happy with it, it's sturdy, a great size and the large drawers are so useful! They house my many notebooks, to-do lists and pots of pens, leaving the top quite minimal, spacious, clean and clutter free.

Lastly my shelves have taken on serious witchy vibes - crystals, candles on rose quartz coasters and this celestial rifle paper co card, it may be more suited to halloween, but I kind of love it! I've also been having a milky hot chocolate as a Sunday treat, made with almond milk, cinnamon and in my favourite cat mug

There's also stacks of books, candles and trinkets dotted around my home, I always keep an oil or lotion close to hand for any dry patches!
