Five Loves, Early Autumn.

Autumnal weather has swept in crisp and grey, the leaves already turning gold and brown. It's starting to feel like autumn! In this seasonal shift I've been baking more, layering up and having a new season re-shuffle of my home. Here's a few things that I've been loving of late, from beauty to baking!

Having a home re-shuffle ready for autumn.
Along with a re-shuffle and tidy, I've wanted to make things a little warmer, cosier for the colder months ahead. Adding books to shelves, scattering candles throughout the home and having a soft blanket nearby, always close to hand. I've started the search for the perfect velvet cushion - squashy and soft, to pop on our sofa for cosy autumn eve's, I adore this selection, I may have to pick up a pink one!
I've also started to add warm metallics, like this glass and gold jar, candle holders and a pulling out lamps for warmth and light around the home.

Is there anything better than the scent of cinnamon & apple wafting through the home on a gloomy autumnal day? I've been alternating between working through my recipe books, (baking everything from almond, apple and cinnamon cakes to toffee bonfire cakes!) and throwing together a few healthier ingredients (stewed fruit, coconut oil, coconut sugar, oats) to make a quick crumble, ideal for breakfasts or as an evening treat!

Streamlining my make up.
My beauty stash always gets a little out of hand - I find it so hard to part with pre-loved beauty picks! After checking for any old, expired products, I'm then trying to whittle down my stash to only the things that I adore, ensuring that they're within easy reach. I've actually loved having a smaller, more exclusive stash, waving goodbye to a few occasional picks in favour for every day loves.

Layering up.
It's surprisingly cold already and so I've pulled out my favourite dressing gown to wrap up in, popping it over my clothes on at home days, it just has to be done!
I've grown such a fondness for scarves this year, for blocking out the cold, wrapping around me like a blanket and for tucking my hair in! I have so many on my wishlist...

Charlotte Tilbury Beauty Light Wand
After a huge swatching session at a Charlotte Tilbury counter I left with a wishlist as long as my arm. I couldn't resist splurging on the beauty light wand highlighter, it's simply stunning! Creamy, long lasting, pigmented and the colour... it's unreal! It leaves the skin with that gorgeous, dripping in candlelight hue, an iridescent champage/rose gold hue, it's divine.
The only downside to this for me is the sponge applicator. Potentially a little unhygienic as it's not removable. But for now, I'm planning on dabbing the product on the back of my hand before applying rather than swiping the actual sponge over my face!
